Stock Adjustments Stock
/stock-adjustments
Records manual corrections to stock quantity at a location, for damaged, lost, or otherwise unaccounted-for inventory.
The table lists each adjustment's date, reference number, location, adjustment type, total amount, total amount recovered, the reason/notes entered, and who added it. Filters allow narrowing by business location and date range (passed as location_id/start_date/end_date). Total amount and recovered amount are only shown to users with the view_purchase_price permission.
Click Add to open the adjustment form, where you choose a location and an adjustment type of Normal or Abnormal, then add the products and quantities being written off. Saving immediately decreases the available stock for each product/variation at that location.
Each row can be viewed in a modal, and deleted (subject to the business's transaction-edit window, after which the delete button is hidden). Deleting removes the adjustment; it does not automatically restore the stock that was deducted.
Behind the scenes, every adjustment line is checked against the product's historical average adjustment size and its stock level immediately before the change; an adjustment that is unusually large relative to either triggers an automatic risk notification to the business's Admin users (at most once per product per day), flagging it for review.
