POS Terminal Sales & POS
/pos/create
The checkout screen for ringing up a sale: add products, adjust discounts, take payment, and finalize the invoice.
Before the terminal loads, the system checks whether you already have an open cash register; if not, you're taken through opening one (with an optional opening cash amount) and then returned here. Every sale rung up is tied to that open register until it's closed.
Products are added three ways: typing or scanning into the search box (labelled "Enter Product name / SKU / Scan bar code", which doubles as barcode-scanner input), browsing the Category or Brand drawers as visual grids, or toggling Featured Products. A gear icon opens a search-configuration modal to choose whether product name, SKU, lot number, or custom fields are searched. Each cart line shows quantity, service staff (if enabled), price including tax (if enabled), and subtotal, and can be removed individually.
Discounts are applied through an Edit Discount modal — fixed amount or percentage, capped by your max_sales_discount_percent permission — either per line or for the whole order; loyalty points redemption appears in the same modal when reward points are enabled. Order-level tax and shipping charges each have their own edit icon and modal.
To finish the sale you can use Multiple Pay to open a full payment modal supporting several payment rows across methods (cash, card, cheque, bank transfer, and more) with automatic change calculation, or the one-click Cash or Card express-checkout buttons (Card opens a card-details modal first). Credit Sale finalizes the invoice without requiring payment up front. Instead of finalizing, you can Suspend the sale to pause it for later, or save it as a Draft or Quotation to follow up without charging the customer. A Recent Transactions button recalls past sales for quick lookup or editing.
