Shows business-wide gross and net profit for a date range, broken down by opening stock, closing stock, sales, purchases and other income/expense adjustments.

The Profit / Loss Report summarizes how much the business made or lost over a chosen period by comparing total sales value against the cost of goods sold, opening/closing stock value, and a set of other income and expense adjustments. It requires the profit_loss_report.view permission.

The report is split into three panels: an Opening Stock table (stock value at the start of the period), a Closing Stock table (stock value at the end of the period), and a Net & Gross Profit summary. Gross Profit is total sell price minus total purchase price of items sold. Net Profit adds shipping charges collected, additional sell expenses, recovered stock value, purchase discounts and round-off, then subtracts stock adjustments, business expenses, purchase/transfer shipping charges, purchase additional expenses, sell discounts and reward point payouts.

Use the Business Location dropdown and the date range picker to scope the figures; by default the report opens on the business's current financial year. A user filter narrows the figures to transactions created by a specific staff member, and only locations the logged-in user is permitted to access are included.
