Add Sale Sales & POS

/sells/create

ourerp.org/sells/create Sales & POS Add Sale Our ERP · blueprint preview

Manually builds a sales invoice: pick a customer, add products, and set pricing, discount, tax, and status.

The header captures business location, price group, type of service, customer (searchable, with a quick-add option), pay term, commission agent, sale date, an invoice scheme, and up to four custom fields. The Status field controls what kind of document this becomes — Final, Draft, Quotation, Proforma, or (when creating a sales order) Ordered.

The product entry grid below is the same one used by the POS terminal, letting you search or add products with quantity, price, per-line discount, and tax, and it keeps running subtotal, tax, and total figures as you build the invoice.

This form actually submits to the same backend endpoint as the POS terminal, so a sale entered here behaves identically to one rung up at the counter. Saving with status Quotation or Proforma doesn't create a separate record type — it's stored as a draft with a marker that routes it to the Quotations or Drafts list instead of appearing as a completed sale.

Access requires direct_sell.access for a normal sale, or so.create when creating a sales order; the form is also blocked if the business's subscription has expired or its invoice quota is exhausted.

Step-by-step Workflow

  1. Choose the customer and locationSearch for or quick-add a customer, and select the business location and type of service.
  2. Set the sale date and statusPick the date and choose whether this is a Final sale, Draft, Quotation, Proforma, or sales order.
  3. Add productsSearch and add each product with its quantity, and adjust price, discount, or tax per line as needed.
  4. Review totalsCheck the running subtotal, tax, and grand total before saving.
  5. Save the saleSubmit to create the invoice; drafts and quotations save without requiring payment, while a Final sale records it as completed.
