Accounting Dashboard Accounting

Shows a summary of account balances by type (assets, liabilities, equity, income, expenses) as a table and pie charts for a selected date range.

The Accounting Dashboard gives an at-a-glance view of the business's Chart of Account Overview: a table listing each account primary type (Asset, Liability, Equity, Income, Expenses) with its current balance, and a matching pie chart. Balances that are on the opposite side of their natural balance are suffixed with (CR) or (DR) so unusual balances stand out.

Below the overview, the dashboard renders one additional pie chart per account primary type, breaking the balance down further by account sub-type (for example, splitting Assets into Cash, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and so on).

Filters

• Filter by Date — a date range picker (defaulting to the business's current financial year) that reloads the page with start_date and end_date query parameters.

Access requires the accounting_module subscription permission or the superadmin role.

Step-by-step Workflow

1. Open the dashboardNavigate to <code>/accounting/dashboard</code>; it loads balances for the current financial year by default.
2. Adjust the date rangeClick Filter by Date and pick a start and end date to recalculate balances for that period.
3. Review the overview table and chartCheck the Chart of Account Overview table and pie chart for total balances per account type.
4. Drill into sub-type chartsScroll down to see a pie chart per account primary type broken down by account sub-type.
