Create and track projects with a switchable list or kanban view, filterable by status, due date and category.

The Projects screen lists all projects for the business and can be toggled between a List View and a Kanban Board using the view switcher in the box header. In list view, status summary tiles at the top show a count of projects in each status (not started, in progress, on hold, completed, cancelled), and results can be filtered by Status, End Date (including quick filters like overdue, due today, or due within a week), and Category. In kanban view, projects are grouped into columns by status instead.

Selecting New Project (requires the project.create_project permission) opens a form to enter the project Name, Description, an optional linked Customer, initial Status, a Lead user responsible for the project, Start Date and End Date, one or more Members assigned to the project, one or more Categories, and any configured custom fields.

Access to the whole module requires the business to have the project_module permission in its subscription (or superadmin access). Non-admin users only see projects where they are listed as a member — administrators and the project's lead see all data and can update the project's status directly from the list.

Step-by-step Workflow

 1. Open ProjectsNavigate to
/project/project
to see the list or kanban view of projects.
 2. Click New ProjectSelect New Project to open the create form (requires the create permission).
 3. Enter name and descriptionGive the project a name and, optionally, a description and linked customer.
 4. Set status, lead and datesChoose the initial status, the project lead, and start and end dates.
 5. Add members and categoriesAssign the users who will work on the project and tag it with one or more categories.
 6. Save the projectSubmit the form to create the project so members can begin adding tasks and logging time.
 7. Track progressSwitch between list and kanban views, and filter by status, end date or category, to monitor progress; leads and admins can update a project's status inline.
