Recipes Manufacturing

Defines the bill of materials — ingredients and quantities — needed to manufacture each finished product, along with production cost and resulting price.

The table lists each recipe's product/variation, category, sub-category, total quantity produced, and unit price, which updates live as ingredient costs change (marked with a price updated live tooltip).

Click Add to open the recipe form in a modal: choose the finished product/variation, then add its ingredients — each an existing product/variation with its own quantity and unit, optionally grouped into ingredient groups. You also set an extra cost and waste percentage, and choose a production cost type, all of which determine the recipe's final price.

Selecting recipes via the row checkboxes enables a Update Product Price action that pushes the calculated recipe price onto the linked products in bulk. Access requires the manufacturing.access_recipe permission and the Manufacturing module subscription.

Step-by-step Workflow

1. Click AddStart a new recipe and select the finished product or variation it produces.
2. Add ingredientsAdd each raw material with its quantity and unit; group ingredients together if the recipe uses ingredient groups.
3. Set cost detailsEnter extra cost and waste percentage, and choose the production cost type to calculate the final price.
4. Save the recipeStore it so it can be selected when creating a production run.
5. Update product pricesSelect recipes and use Update Product Price to push the recalculated prices onto the linked products.
