Payment Accounts Expenses & Accounts
/account/account
Manages bank, cash, and other payment accounts, their running balances, and money movement between them.
This screen has two tabs. The Accounts tab lists each payment account's name, account type, sub-type, account number, note, live balance, and who added it, filterable by status (Active or Closed) with the footer summing the balance column. The Account Types tab manages the type/sub-type list itself (e.g. Bank, Cash), with sub-types shown indented under their parent type.
Each account's balance is calculated live from its transaction history (credits minus debits), not stored as a static number. Row actions on an active account include Edit, Account Book (opens the account's full transaction history), Fund Transfer (move money to another account), and Deposit (add funds, optionally sourced from another account); a closed account instead shows Activate to reopen it, or Close to close an active one. Account Types can be added, edited, or deleted from their own tab.
All actions on this page — viewing, adding accounts or types, transferring funds, depositing, and closing/activating — require the account.access permission. Which accounts a non-admin user can see is further limited by the payment accounts enabled for their permitted business locations.
