Expense Categories Expenses & Accounts
/expense-categories
Manages the category and sub-category list used to classify expenses.
A simple table listing each category's name and code, with sub-categories shown indented beneath their parent (prefixed with --). Categories support one level of nesting: a category can have sub-categories, but a sub-category cannot have its own children.
Click Add to open a modal for creating a category or sub-category — choose a parent category to make it a sub-category, or leave it blank to create a new top-level category. Each row's Actions offer Edit (modal) and Delete.
Access to this whole screen — viewing, adding, editing, and deleting categories — is controlled by the expense.add or expense.edit permissions; there's no separate view-only permission for categories.
