A simple lookup list of product brands, used to tag and filter products across the catalog.

This screen requires brand.view or brand.create. The table lists each brand's Name, Description, and an Action column with Edit (brand.update) and Delete (brand.delete) buttons. An Add button (brand.create) opens the create form in a modal.

When the Repair module is installed, the create/edit form also exposes a Use for Repair checkbox, which controls whether the brand appears in the Repair module's device-brand pickers.

Brands are selected on the product create/edit form and can be used as a catalog filter on the All Products screen; deleting a brand does not currently check whether products still reference it.

Step-by-step Workflow

  1. Review existing brandsCheck the Name and Description columns for brands already on file.
  2. Add a brandClick Add and enter a name and optional description; tick Use for Repair if the Repair module needs to offer it.
  3. Assign it to productsSelect the brand on a product's create or edit form so it appears in catalog filters and listings.
  4. Maintain the listUse Edit to rename or update a brand, or Delete to remove one that's no longer needed.
