Purchase Orders Purchases
/purchase-order
Tracks purchase orders placed with suppliers and how much of each order has been received so far.
The table lists each purchase order's date, reference number, location, supplier, status, quantity remaining (ordered quantity minus what has actually been purchased so far), shipping status, and who added it. Filters above the table narrow by business location, supplier, status (Ordered, Partial, Completed), shipping status, and a date range that defaults to the current financial year.
The Add button (requires purchase_order.create) opens the purchase order form. Each row's Actions menu offers View, Print, and Download PDF, Edit (purchase_order.update), Edit Shipping status, and Delete (purchase_order.delete) — deleting an order only unlinks it from any purchase lines that reference it rather than removing purchase history.
Status is not set manually: it recalculates automatically to Ordered, Partial, or Completed based on how much of the ordered quantity has been received. This happens whenever a purchase is created or edited on /purchases/create and linked back to this order through its Purchase Order field.
Users with only purchase_order.view_own see just the orders they created; purchase_order.view_all shows every order across the locations the user is permitted to see.
