Customer Groups Contacts

Named pricing groups that give member customers either a flat percentage discount or a dedicated selling-price-group price list.

This screen requires customer.view. The table lists each group's Name, and either its discount Amount or its Selling Price Group, depending on which pricing method the group uses. Row actions offer Edit (customer.update) and Delete (customer.delete); an Add button (customer.create) opens the create form.

Each group has one Price Calculation Type: Percentage, which applies a flat discount percentage to the normal selling price at the point of sale, or Selling Price Group, which instead swaps in prices from one of the business's configured selling price groups. Only the field relevant to the chosen type is shown in the table — the other shows a dash.

A customer is linked to a group from the Customer create/edit form; once linked, POS and sales automatically apply that group's pricing whenever that customer is selected.

Step-by-step Workflow

1. Review existing groupsCheck the Name and pricing (Amount or Selling Price Group) columns to see what pricing tiers already exist.
2. Create a groupClick Add, name the group, and choose Percentage (enter a discount %) or Selling Price Group (pick an existing price list) as its pricing method.
3. Assign customers to the groupOpen the relevant customer's Edit form on the Customers screen and set this group under Customer Group.
4. Adjust or retire a groupUse Edit to change the discount or price list, or Delete to remove a group that is no longer needed.
