Accounting Settings Accounting
/accounting/settings
Configure journal/transfer number prefixes, per-location default account mapping, and custom account sub-types and detail types.
Accounting Settings is organized into three tabs.
Account Setting / Map Transactions
Set the Journal Entry Prefix and Transfer Prefix used when auto-generating reference numbers, then for each business location choose a default Payment Account and Deposit To account for Sale, Sales Payments, Purchases, Purchase Payments, and Expenses (with a separate mapping row per expense category). These defaults are used automatically when accounting entries are generated for transactions at that location.
Account Sub Type & Detail Type
Each tab lists custom sub types or detail types in a data table (name, parent/primary type, description) with Add, edit, and delete actions, letting the chart of accounts be extended beyond the built-in defaults.
Reset Data
A Reset Data button, restricted to business admins, permanently deletes all accounting data for the business — budgets, account types, journal mappings, account transactions, and accounts — after a confirmation prompt.
